Hopefully, the notion that you can do ANYTHING offers you a sense of freedom.

Doesn’t it feel more free than believing there are only certain things you are ALLOWED to do, or are ABLE to do?

WE ARE FREE WHEN WE TAP INTO THE LIMITLESS.

For most of us, though, we’ve been told our limits our whole lives.

  • Oh, you’re so good at math.
  • Wow, she can draw. You just don’t have her talent.
  • I know you love baseball, but do you know how good you have to be? Only the absolute best make it.
  • You’re a good writer, but you would have to be great to BE a writer.
  • Playing music is a hobby; it’s impossible to make a living playing music. You would starve as a musician.

I believe that the people who start assigning us limits do so with the intent to help us and protect us; because of the society in which we are raised, and because they are following the patterns of how they were raised.

I understand it.  For me, I believe it was done from a place of Love.  And habit.  And belief—that establishing limits is the ONLY WAY, within the system in which we exist.

Well, I respectfully DISAGREE.  The way I see it: A writer is someone who writes.  An artist creates.  A runner simply runs.  All the athlete has to do is play the sport.

There is NO QUALIFIER.  There is no plateau that must be reached before you can CLAIM YOUR PASSION.

Do what you love.  BECAUSE YOU LOVE IT.  And, keep doing it.  Practice it, and get better at it.  Because that’s fun, too.

But, make no mistake—The SECOND you start doing WHAT you are MEANT to do—THAT IS WHO YOU ARE!

And, don’t let anyone tell you differently.
