Blessings, Loving Creator!

It is snowing!

I slept in.  This was the first morning in a really long time without an alarm.  And, I have awakened to a winter wonderland.

The snow is falling hard in small flakes, slanted in the breeze, thick like fog.  In my winter scene, little, dark birds skitter just above the white landscape; and, periodically, powdery snow tumbles off the edge of the roof across the way, only to be blustered away before it’s halfway to the ground.

This is certainly exciting news for our snowshoeing classes; especially my class tomorrow morning, currently with three participants registered.  There’s a chance of warmer temperatures and a mix of sleet and rain tomorrow morning, and that would not be ideal.  But, we should have a good base of snow.

I’ve been a little concerned heading into leading my first snowshoe tour.  Partly, I think that’s just normal for me, and I’ve been thinking it will be helpful to just get through the first one.

Also, though, I’ve been concerned, because I’m self-taught with snowshoeing.  With kayaking, I received instruction, so I knew what to pass along, and it was fresh to me.  To snowshoe seems pretty obvious and self-explanatory.

Therefore, I felt very fortunate yesterday, when I had the opportunity in-store to answer a customer’s questions on beginning to snowshoe – how to choose the right size; poles or no poles; even how to dress for winter activities?  These are all pieces that I have learned and experienced, and can offer to beginners.

I recognize that the same is true with my coaching business.  It’s a grand synchronicity that today is the day when I post my piece introducing Brilliant Conversations!

And, here is Today’s Prompt:

Dear One, often the lessons and experiences we have challenge us to change and grow.  That process can seem slow and hard-fought, and we may hardly consider ourselves masters.

But, the journey we make and what we learn in the process has value, and is worth sharing.

Dear One, when someone asks, will you be willing to share your story?

Sometimes, it just lets them know they aren’t alone; they aren’t the only one to feel a certain way, or to face a certain struggle.  Sometimes, it will give them hope for a brighter future.  And, sometimes, it will offer them a signpost for a path they might otherwise not see.

Feeling blessed, Dear Guides, to connect with that customer yesterday.  I think it was just what we both needed!  Thank you, Guides!
