Sunrise Pages September

Welcome, Dear Loving Essence –

Early morning, with the sunrise.  As I noted once before, the sunrise has been gracious enough to delay a little bit each morning until finally we’re on the same schedule.

Well, that’s the good-feeling story that I’m playing with this morning, as I sip my coffee and watch the mostly clear sky transition through muted hues of reds, oranges, and yellows – each moment displaying some new combination from an infinite palette.

As far as sleep last night, it wasn’t great.  By the time I got home, chatted with the wife a bit about our days, and then ate some dinner, it had gotten a ways past the 11 o’ clock hour before I was in bed.  I woke around 4:30 a.m., and it took a while to fall back asleep.  Then, up at 6 to begin my day.  I’ll give my Sleep Scale: 3/5.

The bright side is that, after I make it through this early shift in-store, I’ll have a bit of afternoon and the entire evening left for my heart and desires.  We’ll see how I feel – maybe it will mean just getting a chance to rest and recuperate.

I think back to Wednesday, when, after a few days of feeling like my tank was empty, I had the day to myself, and I had enough energy and desire to walk and run so many steps and miles in the morning.

I can close my eyes now, and breathe in calm and balance, exhale tension and fatigue.  The thing about my day being my own is that I can follow my heart’s urgings to rest or sit, whenever; to walk meditatively, at the rhythm and pace desired; or, to run for a stretch, enjoying the sounds and sensations.

There will be lessons and opportunities as I move through this day.

And, how about a Prompt today:

Dear One, do you ever have days that you think are not yours?  That you tell yourself aren’t your own?

What does that do to your energy and anticipation levels?

Do you know what you would desire to do instead – if the day was yours?

Make a list of how you would spend a day of which you were the complete owner.

The Truth, Dear Creator, is that you and I co-create all of this, and I am the owner of All My Days!  Cheers, Universe!
