Gratitude, Generous Universe!

So, it’s a little later in the morning that I’m finally sitting down for my morning writing, because I went for the live mannequin training and assessment of my First Aid/CPR certification this morning.

I mentioned this before – I’ve always felt a call for this training, but never pursued it.  I am grateful that my instructor role this summer required and enabled my training and certification.

I get emotional when I consider how this has all aligned, and that I’m finally trained and certified.  I believe I will be called upon to provide aid, and I am so grateful that I will be ready and able.  I also believe the Universe has been kind and gentle with me, not calling upon me to serve in this way before I was able.  I think that’s the tie that really triggers my emotional gratitude.

There’s also an emotional connection in that it’s the anniversary this week of my father’s passing; of being present during his last breaths.  It’s a curious juxtaposition, now learning to administer life-saving aid, yet remembering how we respectfully honored and allowed nature to take its course.

There’s a full circle – of living and death – and we don’t often get the full view of it all at once.

It can certainly help put most other things in perspective.

“I am well.  I am safe.  I reside in peace and happiness.”  For me, this is not just some crunchy mantra.  It’s a deep, abiding Truth that serves me as a touchstone.

May I offer you this Prompt:

Your Top 10 Problems –

Make a list of the Top 10 problems in your life, as declared by you, today.

Question 1 – for each problem, ask yourself, “Will this matter in 5 years?”

Question 2 – for each, ask yourself, “Would I still worry about this if I only had a year to live?”

These questions may be challenging, but see if they shift your perspective and create any changes in Your Top 10.

So grateful for the Providence of the Universe!  Thank you, Guides!
