Sunrise Pages April

A Warm Welcome to you, Dear Universe!

Nature is blooming all around.  Growth, rebirth, and renewal are everywhere.  Spring is here.

We are, though, desperate for rain.  The fire danger here is high, and the plants are thirsty.  This is the consequence of a warm winter with no snow.  This is one of the reasons I love the sound and feeling of a rainy day – knowing nature’s need for it.

I root for some rain, excited to see how big spring will pop, once we get some.

Cycles and seasons.  So many aspects of our life’s journey are prescribed as such, when we take time to notice.

I was asked to share my thoughts about “love lost” – about the many loves we may have in our lives, and how profound a part the play; and, the sadness and struggle we feel over their loss.

First, I believe in allowing ourselves to feel whatever we feel.  There is indeed a change in our reality when we lose loved ones.  In a very specific way, we cannot reach out and touch them; we can’t hear their laughter; we can’t pick up the phone to talk.

There is a Truth in that.  The feelings that come up, let them flow through you.  There is a cycle in this, also.  Let the feelings be felt, without clinging to any one.

Because, another Truth is that this love you shared can never be lost.  This person will remain in your heart and your memories, as part of who you are and how you show up in the world, forever forward.  And you, in their hearts and souls.

You can close your eyes and hear their laughter, and still see the certain ways they did things that were unique to them.  And, if you dare to explore, you can still communicate with them, with anyone you’ve loved and are missing – Hold them in your heart and mind, and ask them what you need to know.  You’ll hear their voices, their expressions, the way they’ve always talked.  They’ll answer your questions and tell you what you need to know.  And, they’ll tell you they’re alright.

I believe we live in a world filled with love.  It is our blessing, to love and be loved.  It is a more powerful and profound currency than any money.  We are rich when we express our love for others, and we declare our deep need and appreciation for their love.

It is reality that every love story has a bitter end.  Almost always, one person goes before the other.  One is left behind.  And, when you love many, either you will get left behind many times, or you leave many behind when you go.

There is no fix to this.  To not love at all is unacceptable and untenable.

So, live fully and love deeply.  Know that that means someone will be sad; that people’s hearts will ache.

We are strong enough to endure this.  It is testimony to the Spirits of the people we love.  It is why we live — to love and be loved.

So, love as much as possible, with as many as possible, with your whole heart.

We are angels for each other, and we’re walking each other home.  Always.

Here is a Prompt for you to try:

Play this game – Take a blank piece of paper, and in random directions and order, write down the names of all the people who have touched your life.  Go back to different stages and episodes of your life, remembering those who have impacted your journey.

Watch as the paper transforms!

Hugs to all of you, Dear Readers.  And you, my loving Guides, who brought me here!
